Gifts-In-Kind (Non-Cash Gifts)
Gifts-in-kind can range from office supplies to computers to machinery and equipment needed for field project purposes. For example, new and used laptop computers are especially appreciated by field team members! While Gospel For Muslims can provide tax receipts for gift-in-kind, the donor must determine the fair market value of the donated property. Because of stringent IRS requirements, Gospel For Muslims does not accept gifts of automobiles. Please contact our Financial Department at (214) 217-9857 or safeeya@gospelformuslims.com to make a gift in kind.
Gifts-in-kind with a fair market value of $500 or more incur an obligation to file IRS form 8283 with your annual tax return. Click here to obtain a copy of IRS form 8283, and to access the IRS's instructions on this form, click here. Generally, gifts-in-kind with a fair market value of $5,000 or more must be appraised. Please consult your tax advisor for help if needed.
